Rachel Bandler studied Chemistry and Biology at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. After earning her B.S. from MIT in 2013, she became an MD/PhD Fellow at the New York University School of Medicine. She is currently doing her thesis work in a developmental neurobiology laboratory studying the lineage relationships of cortical interneurons.

Rachel has over eight years of tutoring experience. She worked as a tutor for the MIT Chemistry Department, and was awarded the MIT Department of Chemistry Service Award for her dedication to tutoring and to helping her peers succeed academically. Rachel has extensive experience tutoring high school students, and even founded her own tutoring company while still in high school, a company that continued to thrive during her college years at MIT. Rachel is proud of her track record, having helped her students soar through a variety of high school science exams, including ACTs, APs, NYS Regents and SATs.
